Master Gardeners

Hunt County Master Gardeners are Hunt County citizens who take an active interest in promoting horticulture through landscape and gardening education. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn, and love to help their communities and diverse groups of people through their volunteer service.

What really sets Master Gardeners apart from other home gardeners is their special training in horticulture. In exchange for this training, persons who become Master Gardeners are required to contribute time as volunteers and support the Hunt County Extension Office with their knowledge, time, and service.
