Glow Germ Kit
TEKS : Health
This kit includes a lotion and powder with an ultraviolet light. The lotion contains an ingredient when used with an ultraviolet light glows and shows “germs” that might be left on your hands after not washing hands correctly.
To use the kit, the lotion is applied to the hands. After normal hand washing is finished, the fluorescent lamp may be used to spot the remaining “germs” – they glow bright and are easily seen. The powder is used to demonstrate surface contamination and the transfer of “germs” from utensils and surfaces to hands. This demonstration is effective for all ages – including us as adults when we get careless about washing our own hands!
*Perfect for pre schools, daycares or audiences that cater to young childern learning how to properly wash their hands*
Path to Plate
For those who grew up in an agricultural environment, understanding where food comes from (fruits, vegetables, meat, nuts, etc.) is an easy concept, however, for those growing up in urban, that understanding can stop at the local grocery store. Regardless of our different backgrounds, learning about our food source should become a priority in our steps to establishing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Path To The Plate provides an unbiased examination of agriculture, the foods we eat, and the connection to our health in an effort to make informed decisions.

Welcome to the Real World
To ensure the best possible experience for students and faculty, this curriculum must be scheduled at least two months prior to the presentation date.
This gives AgriLife staff time to book a location (if one is not provided), and book speakers. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to hearing from you!
