Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Hunt County invites you to attend a one day program on Texas Cottage Food Laws, Selling at a Farmers Market, Beginning a Food Based Home Business. This event will be held Friday, November 9 at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center in Greenville. Registration/Check-in is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and the program will start at 9 a.m.
Speakers will include Julie Prouse, Texas AgriLife Extension Associate for Food Protection Management from College Station. She will cover Understanding the Texas Cottage Law and Farmers Market Laws. Dr. Blake Bennett, Texas Agrilife Extension Economist will share how to start a business, or improve an existing business through Resource Inventories, Preparing Budgets, and Marketing Your Product. Debra Wamke, Hunt County Health Department Food Inspector will also be on hand to add further local information and assist in a Question and Answer Session.
